Meet the Designer

Rebecca Ittner is the creator behind RJI Designs and crafts limited edition and one-of-a-kind bracelets, earrings, and necklaces using gemstones and noble metals. Prior to striking out on her own, Rebecca enjoyed a long career in book and magazine publishing. While editing a book on jewelry making, she fell in love with creating wearable art. Nature is her biggest inspiration, with its endless display of color and movement. 

Rebecca creates her collections by hand in her studio in Southern California. Her designs have been showcased at events and galleries along the West Coast. When she’s not creating, Rebecca enjoys photography, hiking, reading, and spending time with family and friends.

Rebecca's Story

“My mother told me that as a toddler I used to pick up minuscule objects (carpet fibers, paper, whatever detritus my brothers left behind) and examine them with great intent.

This love affair with the tiny and unique has continued throughout my lifetime, though, thankfully, has evolved into a great appreciation and love for small, shiny objects, namely gemstones and metal.

These days I find my greatest joy designing and making distinctive and colorful jewelry. I hope you enjoy wearing your treasures as much as I enjoy making each and every piece.”
